Kapatiran Suntukan
Martial Arts

Kapatiran Suntukan Martial Arts (KSMA) was formed out of the need to have an apolitical body whose members could come together, share ideas and advance their art, regardless of their background.
Kapatiran means “brotherhood” and Suntukan is “boxing” in Tagalog and is read in English as the Boxing Brotherhood.  It is the sense of community and the dialogue created by coming together which guides members along their chosen path.
Membership is limited to those who are open to sharing what they know as well as being open to new possibilities.  Potential members must be met face-to-face and have a sponsor within the organization, or be invited by a member in good standing.
Another aspect of being a member of KSMA is training. Regardless of your system, an unused art is a useless art.  One does not need to be KSMA to train with us, but you must train to be KSMA.  Locally we have our small groups that we work out with, but at least twice a year there are KSMA sanctioned events that members and potential members are encouraged to attend.
It is at these gatherings that we delve deeper into the Spirit and Physical Culture that defines KSMA.
KSMA was founded with the belief that we all can learn from one another, regardless of style, system, lineage, or creed.
To that end, KSMA members will make available their knowledge to any and all who desire to learn.  The members explore a variety of systems, but recognize they can benefit from exploring other ideas by working together.
